The sixth new signing to join Team Unihoc is Falun IBK’s Mattias Helgesson. Helgesson is a very strong forward with a fantastic eye for the game, and he really masters all skills on the floorball field. He has an important role in his SSL team Falun IBK but can also be found in the Swedish national team.

2009 06 25 Silly Season vol. 5

We want to welcome our latest signing to Team Unihoc. The fifth new player for the upcoming season is the playmaker in AIK and the Swedish national team, Karl-Johan Nilsson. Karl-Johan had an important role in AIK the last season, and he was able to end the season as Swedish champion after leading the team to the final together with Niklas Jihde and Fredrik Djurling. Karl-Johan also has a dominant role in the Swedish national team – these days with the honorable captain’s band around his arm.

A warm welcome to our latest signed star player. The player, who is the third new to join the Unihoc crew, is the playmaker Mika Kohonen. Kohonen is, without a doubt, one of the best players in the floorball world. He’s a constant threat in his club team, Storvreta IBK but also in the Finnish national team. Last year he led the national team to its first World Cup gold ever.

2009 05 11 UNIHOC TAKES SOUTH KOREA

”The world is our play ground”.  As the biggest brand in the Floorball industry, we find it our duty and vision to push the development of the sport further. Not just in Sweden, but worldwide. As a step in that direction, we sent two of our sponsored players to South Korea to promote the sport.

Unihoc sponsored Daniel “Magic” Johnsson and Nicole Karlsson left for Seoul last Wednesday to market the sport together with Mikael Oliw from Freebandy and Vidar Jonsson, coach from the SSL team Pixbo Wallenstam IBK. The focus will be on the “Zorro-trick” but they will also be there to support and inspire the South Korean national team.

The highlight of the trip will be a demonstration broadcasted in the TV-show Star King. This is where the players will promote themselves and the sport in front of eleven million viewers.

2009 05 04 GOLD TO UHC WEISSENFELS LADIES

UHC Weissenfels ladies team is now German champions! Weissenfels could, for the first time in history, win the championship. It was fifteen year old Pauline Baumgarten who did the final 6-5 goal in the exciting game.

2009 04 21 Anna Wijk – Stadium Rookie Award

Congratulations to Anna Wijk who won the Stadium Rookie Award for the season 2008/2009. Anna played for the division 1 team RIG Umeå in the beginning of the season. She then transferred to the top team IKSU in the middle of the season. The transfer brought success to Anna not only in the club team but also in the Swedish national team. The talented 17-year old has now been given the honorable Stadium Rookie Award and we proudly congratulate and wish Anna good luck in the future.

AIK could finally win the prestigious final against Warberg IC! It was AIK’s star player, Niklas Jihde, who opened up the scoring in the game. He could also put an end to it after his 6-2 goal. 14024 spectators where in the Globe Arena this year to watch AIK win the title in the best league in the world.

2009 03 30 Tyresö Trollbäcken is ready for
the best league in the world!

Unihoc can proudly congratulate Tyresö Trollbäcken to their advancement to the Swedish super league. The team could win the game against Växjö Vipers
with 8-5. This made them the first team to advance to the highest league season 09/10. Anton Lithén had an extra important role due to his 2 goals
in the second period.

New sponsor agreement – the Belgian Floorball Federation

2008 12 19 Unihoc did the final score in the World Cup

It was Unihoc-sponsored Teri Tiitu who finally did the winning goal for Finland in the World Cup-final.

Tiitus 7-6 goal in sudden death made Finland world champions for the first time.

Another Unihoc-sponsored player, Lassi Vänttinen had an important role in the final because of his 3 goals.

2008 10 13 EC-GULD to AIK 2008

We are proud to be able to congratulate AIK to their EC-gold medals for the
3-year in a row. AIK could win the final with 5-2 against the home team
Wiler-Ersigen.

AIK advanced to final after winning the group, and then winning the prestige’s semifinal against the Swedish champions Warberg IC.

2008 06 30 New sponsor agreement  – KAIS Mora IF

Unihoc has the pleasure to announce that we have just signed a 5-year sponsor agreement with the classic club KAIS Mora IF. The club’s ladies team plays in Eliserien and the men’s team in division 1. The deal covers not only sticks, but also textiles and accessories, and furthermore the co-operation also includes giving their home turf a new name. This means it will be named “Unihoc Arena” during the duration of the agreement. Also, the club’s well known tournament “Buster Starlet Cup” will from now on change its name to include “Unihoc”. This goes for “Landslagets innebandyskola” as well.

2008 01 11 IBK Dalen to final

IBK Dalen is now ready for final in the Swedish League cup. This after winning with 10-5 against Balrog Botkyrka in Gammaliahallen. The total score after the semi-finals was 18-8. Dalens best scorer in this game was Christian Hjort with his three goals.

Unihoc now launches one of its largest international bids through the years, by entering as main sponsor to the German floorball federation, DUB. The deal starts in 2008 and runs over 5 years, and includes that all German national teams will play in specially designed Unihoc team wear. The deal also includes all referees in the two top men’s and ladies’ divisions in Germany, meaning that also the referees will be wearing Unihoc textiles.

Unihoc can proudly congratulate Rasmus Sundstedt, who is sponsored by Unihoc, to his gold in U19-WC. Sundstedt was a big part of the success and could lead the Swedish national team to gold after winning the WC-final against the Czech Republic. Unihoc and its distributor in Finland, GD-promotions Ltd., have made a three year contract with one of the floorball world’s top clubs, Espoon Oilers.

Jaakko Fredriksson, sales-manager of GD-promotions, is very happy with the new signing: “Espoon Oilers is the best possible statement club, not only for us in Finland, but for the whole Unihoc family in the world. I would also like to thank our head quarters in Gothenburg for supporting us with this huge signing”, says Fredriksson.

We are very proud to be able to introduce the latest signing of Team Unihoc, Mattias Samuelsson. Mattias was elected “Rookie of the Year” for the season 2006/2007, and he is a modern defender with a great eye for the game as well as many other qualities. He stems from Åkersberga IBF, and he moved to Storvreta IBK before for the 2005/2006 season. He made his international debut for the Swedish national team during last season, and many experts believe that Mattias will have a permanent spot on that team within the nearest future.

2006 11 07 EVO3 HOOK

IIn time for Christmas, Unihoc releases the next generation of the Zorro blade, called EVO3 HOOK. The new blade is the updated version of the world success EVO2 Sanseido. With its increased outside measurements and its perfectly pre-hooked top, the blade has been even more adjusted to suit the popular Zorro moves.

The blade will be sold separately and will be available in two different colours, black metallic and neon orange. In stores from week 48.
