The International Floorball Federation (IFF) and the floorball producer Unihoc have signed a new co- operation agreement, which means that Unihoc will continue as the official material sponsor for the IFF from 1st January 2015 until 31st December 2018.
The agreement covers all the floorball material and equipment that the IFF will use in its operations, except the rink. It also means that Unihoc will continue to supply the official match ball for all IFF events, the CR8ER ball.
The new co-operation agreement covers all Worlds Floorball Championships for both men and women, and also all other official IFF events such as the U19-WFC tournaments. Further, it includes all qualifying rounds for the various WFC tournaments, as well as the development and education programs held by the IFF around the world.
”The co-operation with Unihoc has given IFF the possibility to focus on the development and spreading of the sport, since we have enough materials to provide the organizations and countries in need. For the IFF it is the best possible solution to continue with Unihoc in what will be a very crucial period for Floorball, as we are entering a number of multi-sport events in the next four years.”, says the IFF President Tomas Eriksson.
”We think it´s great to be able to continue our co-operation with the IFF for another four years. The IFF is the hub that pushes floorball forwards in the various nations around the globe, and therefore it feels natural for Unihoc, as the largest brand, to support the IFF as the obvious choice for the material supply”, says Torbjörn Jonsson, Brand Manager at Unihoc.
The agreement gives Unihoc an exclusive right for all the marketing and sales in connection to the official IFF events. The first upcoming big tournament is the men´s U-19 WFC in Sweden in 2015.
”We look forward to a continued good co-operation and hope that we together can find new ways to bring the sport and its presentation to a new level. Unihoc has shown that they can contribute to the development of the sport and we are pleased to work with them”, says John Liljelund, Secretary General of the IFF.
